Japanese personal flag from January 1945
I have possession of this flag, a relic of the Philippines conflict of Zig Zag pass. This flag was taken from a soldiers helmet that was attempting to infiltrate my uncles camp. The soldier was killed in what was essentially a mission he did not expect to return from. This was during the first two weeks of combat in the area of Zig-Zag pass in January 1945. I am interested in any information that can be determined from these pictures. The flag/scarf is not for sale and will not be for sale. This is authentic and the ownership is known from January 1945 until now. I have seen a number of fakes on Ebay, some very poorly done, this however is the real item.
